Oscar ceremony is one of the most awaited events in industry of cinema. The 82nd Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will honor the best films of 2009. The event will be taking place on the 7th of March, 2010 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. For some of the people Hollywood is like a dream of possibilities and a symbol ever lasting golden life. Experience a part of it, if not in Los Angeles, at least on TV screen. The nominees for the 82nd Academy Awards were announced live on Tuesday February 2, 2010. The category Best Picture include: Avatar; The Blind Side; District 9; An Education; The Hurt Locker; Inglourious Basterds; A Serious Man; Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire; Up and Up in the Air.
The list of the Best Actor and Best Actress: Jeff Bridges – Crazy Heart as Bad Blake; George Clooney – Up in the Air as Ryan Bingham; Colin Firth – A Single Man as George Falconer; Morgan Freeman – Invictus as Nelson Mandela; Jeremy Renner – The Hurt Locker as Sgt. William James; Sandra Bullock – The Blind Side as Leigh Anne Tuohy; Helen Mirren – The Last Station as Sofya Tolstoy; Carey Mulligan – An Education as Jenny Miller; Gabourey Sidibe – Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire as Clarieece "Precious" Jones and Meryl Streep – Julie & Julia as Julia Child.

Best Adapted Screenplay: District 9 – Neill Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell; An Education – Nick Hornby; In the Loop – Jesse Armstrong, Simon Blackwell, Armando Ianucci and Tony Roche;Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire – Geoffrey Fletcher; Up in the Air – Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner.
Best Animated Feature include: Coraline – Henry Selick;Fantastic Mr. Fox – Wes Anderson; The Princess and the Frog – Ron Clements and John Musker;
The Secret of Kells – Tomm Moore and Up – Pete Docter. Best Foreign Language Film could be: Ajami (Israel) in Arabic and Hebrew – Scandar Copti and Yaron Shani; El Secreto de Sus Ojos (Argentina) in Spanish – Juan José Campanella; The Milk of Sorrow (Peru) in Spanish – Claudia Llosa; A Prophet (France) in French – Jacques Audiard or The White Ribbon (Germany) in German – Michael Haneke.
