Probably there should be hard to find a person who has never heard about Rio de Janeiro Carnival that is taking place in the middle of February every year. If you would rather like to experience some winter traditions and fun, come to the heart of Europe - Prague that is offering an amazing alternative event. Bohemian Carnevale - is an annual winter ending celebrations taking place all over the city. The series of events will be held between the 5th and 16th of February this year. Entertainment will definitely abound the city!
The Bohemian Carnevale is the mask celebration that aims to pull out the city of the winter doldrums. The typical Czech food is a part of the festival. So, eat well (the carnivals main delight - hot pancakes with chocolate or jam), be entertained and get into the whirlpool of capital's celebrations. The culmination of the carnival is scheduled on the 16th of February, 2010 (Fat Tuesday). The celebration includes lantern parade through town and fireworks.
