On the 5th of December you can see many people with lit-candles in their hands and hear many traditional songs. It is the day, when the nation is celebrating the King Bhumipol’s birthday. In Thailand, it is also known as the National Father’s Day and a national holiday.
The king of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej is the world's longest-serving current head of State. Bhumibol retains enormous powers and popularity among the Thai people. Therefore, this annual celebration is a massive event that draws in thousands of locals and tourist from all over the world.
