Ice skating is one of the greatest pleasures of winter. It always looks like fun, but it can be harmful as well! How can you protect yourself from getting injured? Go to Japan, Tokyo and enjoy the professional performances of ice skaters. The 2009–2010 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final is held between the 2nd and 6th of December, 2009. Enjoy this beautiful and graceful event.
Figure skating is not only a sport, but also a show-business. Dancers must always skate to music that has a definite beat and rhythm. Major competitions usually include exhibitions at the end in which the top skaters perform for the crowd by showing off their various skills. Costumes and skillful movements are used to enhance performance visually. It is said to be an avenue for artistic expression, athletic accomplishment, and personal maturity unequaled by any other sport. Adrenaline, pressure, a fast pace and the risk are always there. Therefore, emotions on the ice are real.
The rules for the finals varie from year to year. The skaters in most of the cases perform the compulsory dance, short program - original dance and long program - free dance. Pair skating is the most attractive for the public, as it requires the strength of both partners along with their skills, technical ability and perfect unison. Do you want to feel the thrill of competition? Tokyo is waiting for you!
