Relax Down Under

Sydney, the largest and oldest city of Australia offers you a lot of sun, beautiful beaches, interesting museums, impressive buildings, relaxing areas and great festivals.

With the subtropical climate in Australia, the 70 beaches of Sydney are very welcome to spend some of your days. Go to the famous Bondi Beach with its great surf- and beach culture. You can chill out as long as you want! Do you want to see more of the see? Go to the Sydney Aquaria. It give you a spectacular impression of the Australian live in the ocean. You can see more than 11.000 sea animals!

The eye catcher of Sydney is the Opera House, a very remarkable building. Great to watch, but it's hard to get a ticket for ballet or opera. At the Sydney Tower you can make a 'sky walk'. On a height of 260m you can walk on a platform of glass.....so you can see everything beneath you! There are also two rotating restaurants where you can watch the incredible view. Spend also some time at Darling Harbour. This used to be a trading port but nowadays it is a area with a lot of restaurants, cafés, shops, museums and a casino.

Every month there are several festival in Sydney. A highlight of the Sydney festival scene is Mardi Grass in February. It's a day known as a day of friends, family, fun, music, entertainment, theatre and art shows. Another festival in February is the Tamworth Country Music Festival. It brings a weekend full of country artist from all across Australia. March bring the whole month long a festival: the Greek Festival of Sydney. A month long you can taste and experience the rich Greek culture and its artistic heritage.

The real party people have to go 'a night out with the stars' at the Twilght of Taronga. Every weekend in February and March there are open air concerts in the wild surrounds of Taronga Zoo. It brings the best Australian summer weather, delicious food and extraordinary entertainment. Don't miss it!

This all is just a little of all the things Sydney brings. Check it all out, relax and have a wonderful time!
