With the Japanese Festival Florence rediscovers ancient arts and culture from the East. Held at Limonaia di Villa Strozzi, the event has a rich programme ranging from music, fashion and design to martial arts and philosophy.

Visitors to Florence's Japanese Festival can try on kimonos and join tea ceremonies, attend seminars and exhibitions or practise Shodo, Origami and Yuzen (silk painting).

There are also energetic Judo, Aikido and Scherma Kendo demonstrations along with traditional music, dance and theatre performances.

The health conscious may indulge in body massages or pig out on some fat-free gastronomic delicacies imported from Japan.
