Kusu island named after a legend of a tortoise saving two men from their capsized boat. A monument for the tortoise was built and also a Chinese temple. Every year in the 9th month of the lunar calendar usually October some 130,000 visitors flock to Kusu to pray to the god of prosperity, Da Bo Gong.
