1. Diocletian Palace and the Riva
The 1700 years old palace is one of the most important architectural heritage of the Roman Empire. Some 3,000 Splicani are even fortunate enough to live inside the ancient palace walls.
The riva is a grand floodlit pedestrian that fronts Diocletian's Palace, one giant catwalk, where the Splicani do their morning and evening walks.
2. Savour fresh seafood
Joining local shoppers checking out the morning fish straight out of the Adriatic Sea at the market on the western fringes of Diocletian's Palace. Return here at night to dine.
3. Cathedral of St.Duje tombs and towers
Visit the Diocletian's tomb, inside Split Cathedral. If you are in good shape, it is recommended to climb to the top of the bell tower. The views are worth the visit and the climb.

Republic Square is one of the most beautiful squares in Split. This beautiful Neo Renaissance square is open to the sea. This popular spot is one of the Split attractions, that comes alive in the summer with concerts and cultural events.
8. Piazza - People's Square
This centrally located square is one of the most popular piazzas in the city and one of the main Split attractions. It is surrounded by stunning buildings: the Renaissance clock on the ruins of a Roman tower, the first town hall and a Renaissance palace. This is a place of the legendary City Cafe.
9. Visit Marjan Hill
Marjan is a hill. It is located on the city's peninsula, surrounded by the town on one side, and by the sea on the other. Marjan has lots of footpaths, and jogging trails. The bar on the top offers beautiful views.
10. Hit the beach
On a sunny day, chill out on one of the town's popular beaches such as Bacvice beach. If you prefer trees, shadows and stunning waters, head to Bene beach.
