New Delhi is the capital of India. The foundation stone of the city was laid in 1911.

If you are really interested in art and history, you should definitely visit the National Museum. You will find an impressive quantity of over 200,000 individual pieces of art!

Mahatma Gandhi is the most famous person in India. He was the founding father of modern independent India. The Raj Ghat is a memorial dedicated to Gandhi, and it is located in the place where he was cremated.

The Lotus Temple is designed in the shape of a sacred lotus flower, there are 27 flower petals made of marble. On your way the temple, you will walk through some beautiful gardens.

The Hindu Kalkaji Mandir temple is not a big tourist attraction. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Kali and is the site of many rituals.

The Jama Masjid is the largest Islamic mosque in the city. It has two towering minarets and a few onion shaped domes and it can hold 25,000 people.

The Akshardham Hindu temple, was built in 2005, is one of the things to do in Delhi that you don't want to miss. The perfectionism of the architecture, construction and details will blow your mind.

The Gurudwara Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple is the friendliest and more comfortable temple you will ever visit.

Chandni Chowk and Chawri Bazar areas are a dense chaotic center of trade, business, food, spices, and overall life. If you love street food, this is the place to go!
North Indian food is very rich, and itis extremely flavorful. You can find plenty of both pure vegetarian and non-vegetarian (meat) restaurants.

To the west side of Chandni Chowk, the Old Delhi spice market is the largest in Asia.

The India Gate is a 42 meter tall monument that was built in 1931. Under the gate you can see a flame that is continually lit and honors soldiers that have given their lives for their country.

The Lodi Gardens is a public park with ancient Mughal tombs and structures. There, you will encounter kids running around and people enjoy picnics.
