Gulf on the Mediterranean Sea
Unusual wildlife in Valencia
Valencia is the capital of Spain and the third largest city in Spain with around 809,000 inhabitants. Valencia was founded in 138 BC and is situated on the banks of the Turia and the Gulf on the Mediterranean Sea. Historically, Valencia is one of the largest in Spain; there are ancient monuments, views and culture making Valencia popular amongst tourists.
In the North, there are many resorts historic sites. On the opposite side, the South holds some of Spain's best beaches and party areas during summer months, and the beaches make ideal view points for watching the city's yearly air show. Other areas still retain the local heritage and culture.
Valencia is under two hours from Alicante and Madrid, (faster by train), meaning that Valencia is the perfect place to stay if you are considering to explore several areas of Spain.
A few miles from the city is the Albufera; a lagoon full of unusual wildlife and fish where visitors can take private boat rides. The central market is full of local produce and covers over 8000sqm.
