Diamond Jubilee of Queen
And there again comes London with its fabulous events and celebrations, that never stops...very soon, there is a long long Bank holiday weekend planned for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, which takes part from Saturday 2 June to Tuesday 5 June 2012. So if you happened to be in London in these days, you are lucky to see this majestic event.
The celebration activities will be expected throughout the UK and across the Commonwealth. This year it will last 4 days, because the May Bank Holidays are moved one week later, making it so much easier for everyone to have nice days off. This year will be bright events, because of the 60 years of the Queen's reign, The majesty came to the throne on 6 February 1952 and her coronation took place on 2 June 1953.
One of the special events will be the Diamonds exhibition at Buckingham Palace and a Diamond Jubilee Pageant on the river Thames. So get ready to see the city all in flags and people dressed in the collors or prints of the flag. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will be visiting England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in 2012 to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee. And of course other members of the Royal Family will also travel throughout the United Kingdom and overseas this year. So come to see!!!
