China's 100 years revolution
Collapse of the famous Manchu Dynasty
Exactly a century ago in an evening of 9th October 1911, a group of conspirators accidentally detonated a bomb in the Chinese city of Wuchang, they decided to carry out an armed insurrection in the city of Wuchang.
They began sweeping the provinces of the Qing Empire, and three months later the Qing court abdicated, bringing to a close nearly two millennia of imperial rule in China. That all ended more than 2,000 years of imperial history of China.
After all that, nowadays is much more prosperous, social more stable and optimistic. The government nowadays is credited with lifting millions out of poverty, making all better and creating the conditions for China's rapid development over the last three decades.
Finally China no longer has to face the threat of being carved up by the imperialist predations of hostile outsiders, as in before in 20th Century was the European imperialism in China.
The revolution came about with the collapse of the famous Manchu dynasty, that was a result of pressure from foreign governments and the weakness of the main government. The government established in Beijing (Peking) headed by Yuan Shihai. As a result, communist rule was established in China under Mao Zedong's leadership.
So finally, this year on 10th of October, marks the 100th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution, overthrowing the Quing Dynasty to end up thousands of years of feudalism in China. Dr. Sun Yat-sen was revered as the forerunner of China's revolution to end feudalism.
