Officially known as the Kingdom of Cambodia, the country in Southeast Asia is nestled between Thailand, to the west/northwest, Laos to the northeast, Vietnam to the east, and the breathtaking Gulf of Thailand to the southwest. Cambodia's geography is dominated by the Mekong River, one of the word's greatest rivers and the Tonlé Sap lake.

Cambodia's economy is chiefly focused on agriculture with over fifty percent of the population relying on it for their livelihood. Rice if their main crop produced. That being said you can only imagine how lush and green the country is.

Cambodia has a very diverse culture with influences from Buddhism, Hinduism, French colonialism, Angkorian culture and of course modern globalization. The Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts has done alot in recent years in promoting and developing Cambodian culture. Unique Cambodian culture refers to the hill tribes known as Khmer Loeu.

Khmer culture was developed and spread by the Khmer empire and has distinct styles of dance, archittecture and sculpture.The best preserved example of Khmer architecture from the Angkorian era is the Angkor Wat, meaning “city temple”.
