There is no other city in the world like Stockholm. It's built on 14 islands connected by 57 bridges, it rises gracefully from watter so clean that you can go swimming or fishing in the very heart of the city.You can walk, bike, drive or take advantage of the city's impeccable mass-transist. Its waterfront is alive with boats, from ferries to shuttle you around the city to sailboats and yachts that cruise out into the vast archipelago that stretches into the Baltic.

Gamla Stan is the Old Town-the best place to discover the history of Stockholm, located on a small island. It's famous for it's winding streets and bontiques, also cozy restaurants which are all close by to the Royal Palace. There's also the world's most long – established bank-The Bank of Sweden, founded in 1656.

It's not enough with all wonderful castles and museums, restaurants, nightlife ad shops, the trip to Stockholm wouldn't be complete without a short excursion to the archipelago.Within two hours by boat or car from Stockholm you be anywhere you like in archipelago-you will feel like you are thousand miles from the nearest city-in your own paradise. The tournament was founded in 1969 by the late Sven Davidsson. The Idea was to create a magnificent event for the spectators and that all the profit would go back to the Swedish tennis clubs in order to stimulate their work .
